Halloween Overlay at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar Officially Announced for 2025

Hey Disney Vacationers It’s official—Disney has confirmed what fans have been hoping for. The Halloween overlay at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is happening. After teasing it earlier in the day. Starting August 19, the Indiana Jones-themed lounge at Disney Springs will transform into Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Hangar Bar for the first time ever.

This new seasonal experience will bring specialty bites, themed drinks (we hope), and possibly some spooky surprises inside the already immersive bar.

What What Teased

Ahead of Halloween season, Disney Springs dropped a short teaser on Instagram. It shows a pumpkin placed in front of Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar with the caption:
“Something’s brewing at Disney Springs.”
That’s it. No official announcement. No dates. Just vibes—and a strong hint that something Halloween-themed is coming soon.

And if you’ve been to Jock Lindsey’s during the holidays, you know this is worth paying attention to.

Disney Confirms the Halloween Overlay

It didn’t take long. Later in the day after teasing the update on Instagram, Disney officially announced the debut of Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Hangar Bar. According to Disney Eats, the Halloween overlay will begin on August 19 and will feature Halloween-themed bites. While Disney has not yet shared full food or drink details, the announcement included a first look at the new offerings—and yes, they look spooky.

No confirmation has been given yet on decorations or cocktails. But based on the Christmas overlay, it’s safe to expect themed decor and at least a few eerie beverages.

Jock Lindsey’s History of Seasonal Overlays

While this marks the first Halloween overlay at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, it’s not the first time the venue has been transformed for a holiday. For the past five years, Disney has rebranded the space as Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar during the Christmas season. That version includes holiday decor, themed food, and festive cocktails. It has become one of the most underrated seasonal offerings at Disney Springs.

The Halloween version now expands that tradition—and adds a spooky twist.

During the Christmas season, Jock Lindsey’s becomes Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar. It’s not just a few decorations—they go all in. You’ll find garlands wrapped around vintage aviation gear, string lights draped across propellers, and themed ornaments placed among the artifacts. The bar even features nods to Indiana Jones within the decor, like snake-themed snow globes or wrapped crates marked “Property of Dr. Jones.” Holiday menu items have included things like Grandma’s Favorite Sliders and the Yule Mule cocktail, showing Disney’s attention to both theme and taste. If Disney takes this same detailed approach for Halloween, guests are in for something special.

Why Halloween Works Here

Jock Lindsey’s is already packed with adventure and mystery, making it a perfect fit for Halloween. Its tiki-inspired bar setup blends easily with fall flavors and spooky twists.

Think about it:

• The Indiana Jones films have some wild, creepy scenes.
• “Temple of Doom” gave us monkey brains and black magic.
• Tiki drinks already lean theatrical—add some smoke or glow and it’s Halloween-ready.

Disney already leaned into this idea last year with a Madame Leota-inspired tiki drink at Trader Sam’s. So, they clearly know how to blend spooky with tropical. Additionally, Disney Cruise Line has done an Indiana Jones inspired show that included a monkey brains cocktail!

Potential Inspiration from Indiana Jones Films

The Indiana Jones franchise has no shortage of creepy content to draw from. In Raiders of the Lost Ark, there’s the infamous face-melting finale and a snake-filled tomb. Temple of Doom pushes even further with flaming hearts, dark rituals, and of course—chilled monkey brains. Even The Last Crusade has a dusty knight guarding the Holy Grail and crumbling temples. A Halloween overlay could borrow visual elements from these moments in a fun, light-hearted way. It wouldn’t need to be scary—just themed enough to feel immersive and on-brand for Indy fans.
