Hey Disney Vacationers! If you’re planning a Walt Disney World trip for the holidays, don’t sleep on Hollywood Studios. It’s my personal favorite park during the festive season, and for good reason. The vibe here hits different—it’s got glitz, charm, and a solid mix of nostalgia and modern Disney energy.
With Disney officially releasing the 2025 Hollywood Studios Holiday Season details, it’s clear they’re going all-in again this year. From returning entertainment to special character outfits and delicious dining, here’s everything you need to know.
The 2025 holiday season at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is expected to run from early November through December 31, 2025.
Quick Glance: What’s Happening in 2025
- Disney Jollywood Nights (separately ticketed event)
- Sunset Seasons Greetings nighttime projections
- Holiday Olaf Finale at the Frozen Sing-Along
- Character meet-and-greets in seasonal outfits
- Minnie’s Holiday Dine at Hollywood & Vine
- Vintage-style decor across the park
- All except Jollywood Nights are included with daytime admission
Disney Jollywood Nights Returns
Let’s start with the big-ticket event. Disney Jollywood Nights is back for its third year and has quickly become the go-to after-hours holiday event for adults looking to experience Disney in a unique way.
Expect old Hollywood vibes, vintage glam, themed entertainment, special photo ops, and exclusive food and drinks. It’s a separately ticketed event, and you’ll want to plan ahead. You can check out our full breakdown of 2025 Disney Jollywood Nights dates, entertainment, and ticket pricing in the article linked below.
Sunset Seasons Greetings: Holiday Projections on Tower of Terror
As soon as the sun sets, the Hollywood Tower Hotel becomes the star of the park—literally.
Sunset Seasons Greetings features rotating projection shows on the Tower of Terror, transforming it into:
- A Muppets gingerbread house
- A Toy Story-themed hotel
- A snowy Arendelle scene
- A Dickens-style village from Mickey’s Christmas Carol
Each one is a short visual show packed with color, music, and holiday spirit. And yes—this is included with your regular park ticket.
Olaf’s Holiday Finale at Frozen Sing-Along
Inside the Hyperion Theater, the For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration gets a snowy upgrade.
This holiday version includes:
- Classic scenes from the Frozen film
- Live appearances by Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff
- Projected lyrics so everyone can sing
- A heartwarming holiday finale starring Olaf
It’s a hit for kids, and a surprisingly solid break spot for adults looking to cool down or sit for a bit.
Holiday Character Costumes in Toy Story Land
This is where the photos get good.
Woody, Jessie, and Buzz Lightyear show up in full holiday gear inside Toy Story Land, surrounded by oversized Christmas lights, giant ornaments, and themed displays. It’s a great spot for:
- Family holiday card photos
- Seeing characters in unique holiday outfits
- Enjoying up-close decor details
Swing by mid-morning or late afternoon to avoid long waits.
Minnie’s Holiday Dine at Hollywood & Vine
If character dining is your thing, Minnie’s Holiday Dine should be on your list. The setting is festive, the characters look incredible in their seasonal best, and the food? Surprisingly strong for a buffet-style meal.
Expect dishes like:
- Carved beef tenderloin
- Seared salmon
- Spice-rubbed pork loin
- Plant-based mushroom-farro risotto
- And yes—Mississippi mud pie and holiday bread pudding for dessert
Reservations are highly recommended, and they go quickly this time of year. A small number of same-day spots may be available, but don’t count on it.
Vintage Holiday Decor and Music
This park nails the old-school Christmas aesthetic.
You’ll find:
- Retro decorations along Sunset Boulevard
- Gertie the Dinosaur in Echo Lake wearing her Santa hat
- Larger-than-life ornaments floating on the water
- Classic holiday music like “Cool Yule” playing throughout the park
It feels like you’ve stepped into a holiday movie—only with more churros.
Crowds and Park Hours: What to Know
The holiday season is one of the busiest times of the year at Walt Disney World, and Hollywood Studios is no exception.
Here’s what to expect:
- Crowds build steadily after Thanksgiving
- Weekends and Jollywood Nights dates bring peak attendance
- Disney often extends park hours, especially closer to Christmas week
- Rope drop and Lightning Lane strategies are your best bet for major attractions
If you’re planning a day here during the holidays, arrive early, and build in time to enjoy the holiday-specific entertainment and atmosphere.
Final Thoughts
Disney’s Hollywood Studios continues to evolve as the park with the most unique holiday energy. Whether you’re here for a Jollywood Nights date night, a festive family meal with Minnie, or just want to watch Olaf melt your heart, this park delivers.
Almost everything—except Jollywood Nights—is included with your regular daytime ticket. That means you don’t need to do anything extra to catch projections, character costumes, or special decor.
And if you’re anything like me, once you see that glowing Echo Lake tree and hear Bing Crosby playing in the background…you’ll be hooked.
