Hey Disney Vacationers! Big changes are coming to one of Disney Cruise Line’s most beloved ships—the Disney Fantasy. Starting this December, the ship will return with exciting updates that bring new dining, upgraded experiences, and a stunning new suite option. If you’re like me and love cruising with Disney, these updates are worth getting excited about.
I’ve sailed all the Disney Cruise Line ships, and the Disney Fantasy is my favorite. It hits the sweet spot—not too big, not too small—with plenty of adult spaces and family fun. And unlike the newer ships, the Fantasy (and its sister ship, the Dream) is unique because it doesn’t have a dinner show. While we enjoy the dinner shows on other ships, there’s something peaceful about having a calm, conversation-filled dinner without entertainment every night. That’s just one of the many reasons I keep going back.
Now, let’s talk about everything new you can expect from the Disney Fantasy updates.
All-New Concierge Fantasy Tower Suite
The biggest news is the debut of the Concierge Fantasy Tower Suite. This new space is located inside the ship’s forward funnel, and it transforms the iconic red funnel into a luxury penthouse at sea.
Key Features of the Tower Suite:
- 2,030 square feet across two stories
- Sleeps up to 8 Guests
- Two main bedrooms
- Library with a queen-size wall bed
- A dedicated children’s room with bunk beds
- 4.5 bathrooms
- Walk-in closets, a pantry, wet bar, and a large living area
The theme of the suite is based on Fantasia, specifically “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice,” which brings a little magic into every corner of the room.
This new suite is Category 1A. If you had a booking in Category 1A before, you might now see your room listed as Category 1B—but don’t worry. Your actual stateroom hasn’t changed. The update is just a reclassification due to the addition of the new suite.
You can now book the new Fantasy Tower Suite for sailings starting December 4, 2025.
More Disney Fantasy Enhancements
The Tower Suite isn’t the only thing getting added. When the Disney Fantasy returns later this year, it will include several updates across the ship.
Here’s what’s new:
Ramone’s Cantina
A brand-new poolside quick-service spot is coming—Ramone’s Cantina. Expect tacos and bowls, likely similar to the offerings aboard the Disney Dream. Quick, tasty, and convenient.
Refreshed Senses Spa
The Senses Spa is getting a makeover. While Disney hasn’t shared full details yet, we know it will include updated spaces that enhance relaxation and wellness for adults on board.
New Concierge Lounge
A new ethereal concierge lounge inspired by Hercules will be available to Guests staying in concierge-level staterooms. Expect elegant theming and a tranquil setting to unwind.
Edge Moves to Deck 5
Edge—the pre-teen space for kids aged 11–14—is relocating to Deck 5. It’s getting some fresh features and enhancements, which should be a hit with the tweens.
Itinerary After the Disney Fantasy Update
After the updates are complete, the Disney Fantasy will return to Port Canaveral as its home port.
Here’s what’s planned for its new itineraries:
- 3-, 4-, and 5-night sailings to The Bahamas
- Stops at:
- Disney Castaway Cay
- Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point
- Nassau
That’s right—you’ll get to visit both Disney’s private islands on select itineraries, which is a big win for cruisers who want to experience the best of what Disney has to offer in the Bahamas.
