Spring dates are locked. The EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival 2027 runs March 10 through May 31, bringing back the topiaries, Outdoor Kitchens, and the Garden Rocks Concert Series for another spring run.

That is a 12-week festival, the longest of EPCOT’s four, and it covers the entire spring travel season from early March through Memorial Day weekend.

Here is what returns, how it fits alongside the rest of EPCOT’s 2027 calendar, and the timing detail that matters if you are booking a March trip.

Quick Summary

  • The EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival runs March 10 through May 31, 2027
  • Topiaries and floral displays return across World Showcase and beyond
  • Outdoor Kitchens are back with spring dishes and drinks
  • The Garden Rocks Concert Series returns with live music
  • Hands-on family activities and take-home gardening tips are part of the lineup

The Topiaries and Gardens

As you walk through World Showcase and beyond, you will find horticultural displays, floral landscapes, and topiaries built around Disney characters.

The topiaries are the signature of this festival and the reason it photographs better than any other EPCOT event. They start at the main entrance and continue through the park, which means you are inside the festival from the moment you walk in rather than hunting for booths.

This is also the festival that rewards a slow pace. The displays are the attraction, not a backdrop to something else.

Outdoor Kitchens

The Outdoor Kitchens return, serving spring dishes and drinks around the park.

Disney has not released the full menu. The Disney Eats Foodie Guide typically publishes closer to the festival with the complete list of dishes and drinks, so hold off on building a food plan for now.

Garden Rocks Concert Series

Live music returns with the Garden Rocks Concert Series, and like the Broadway series during Festival of the Arts, it runs at no extra charge beyond park admission.

Disney has also confirmed hands-on activities built for families, plus gardening tips and ideas you can take home.

That last part is worth flagging for anyone who dismisses this as a walk-past-flowers event. The gardening content is real, and the horticulture teams are genuinely good at it.

How It Fits EPCOT’s 2027 Calendar

Here is the planning detail that matters most.

The EPCOT Festival of the Arts ends March 1, 2027. Flower and Garden begins March 10.

That leaves a nine-day gap with no festival running. If you are booking an early March trip, March 2 through March 9 gets you neither. Move your dates to either side of that window.

At 12 weeks, Flower and Garden is the longest festival on EPCOT’s calendar, so you have far more flexibility here than with the six-week Arts festival.

When to Go

A few patterns worth using.

Early March gets you the freshest displays and the lowest crowds of the run. The topiaries are at their best right after opening.

Avoid the two weeks around Easter. Spring break traffic makes EPCOT genuinely difficult, and the festival is a walking event that suffers most from crowds.

Late May is the quiet stretch, after spring break and before summer. The tradeoff is Florida heat arriving in earnest.

Weekdays over weekends, always. Garden Rocks draws local crowds on weekend nights.

Making the Most of It

Start at the entrance and walk slowly. The main entrance topiary display sets the tone and is the most photographed spot of the festival.

Do World Showcase in one direction. The Outdoor Kitchens are spread around the loop, and doubling back wastes the day.

Get to Garden Rocks early. America Gardens Theatre seating is first-come, first-served and free, which means it fills.

Bring a real camera if you own one. This is the one Walt Disney World event where the photography is the souvenir.

Wait for the Foodie Guide before planning what to eat. It has not been published.

What Makes This Festival Different

EPCOT runs four festivals a year, and they are not interchangeable. Knowing where this one sits helps you decide whether it is worth building a trip around.

Flower and Garden is the most visual. Food and Wine is about eating your way around World Showcase. Festival of the Arts leans on galleries and performance. Flower and Garden puts the display work itself at the center, and it is the only one where the park looks meaningfully different than it does the rest of the year.

It is also the most family-friendly. The topiaries land with young kids in a way that food booths and gallery walls do not. Character topiaries scattered through the park turn a long walk into a scavenger hunt, which is the difference between a good EPCOT day and a rough one when you have small children.

And it is the longest. Twelve weeks against roughly six or seven for the others means you are far less likely to be forced into a crowded date.

Budgeting Your Day

The festival itself costs nothing beyond park admission. The topiaries, the gardens, the Garden Rocks concerts, and the family activities are all included.

Where money goes is the Outdoor Kitchens. Festival booth items at EPCOT are small plates priced individually, and grazing across a dozen booths adds up faster than a sit-down meal would. If you are cost-conscious, pick four or five items you actually want rather than sampling everything.

One more thing worth knowing: booth prices and the full item list are not out yet. The Disney Eats Foodie Guide is the document to watch, and it typically lands a few weeks before opening.

The Bottom Line

The EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival 2027 runs March 10 through May 31, with topiaries, Outdoor Kitchens, and the Garden Rocks Concert Series all returning.

Twelve weeks gives you real flexibility, but the best version of this festival is an early-March weekday before spring break arrives. Watch the nine-day gap after Festival of the Arts closes on March 1 if you are booking early in the month.

We will cover the Foodie Guide and the Garden Rocks lineup as soon as Disney publishes them.

I’m no stranger to Disney planning, as a Disneyland magic key holder and DVC member. I’m the person people ask for trip planning advice. But I had never been on a Disney cruise, and had heard great about Nate and decided to reach out. I’m so glad I did because we could not have been happier with our experience. His tips and insights were incredibly helpful, and he was incredibly responsive any time we had a question. Who do the Disney experts turn to when they need help? Nate, that’s who. We’ll definitely be using him again.

Our experience working with Nate as our Disney vacation planner was exceptional. He was responsive and thorough. He gave us insights that made the trip go much more smoothly. We were able to really relax and focus on quality time as a family and have so much fun doing it! I will definitely reach out for any future trips.

Could not have wanted or expected more from Nate, our Distrips and More agent as we planned our 2025 Disney World trip. Nate was VERY responsive to emails and texts and more than willing to do whatever he could to guide us and answer our questions. On several occasions I emailed him over the weekend not expecting a response until Monday but each time he responded before the weekend was over. He even participated in a Zoom session with our group of five seniors as we planned our trip. He also helped us at the 11th hour when we added a family member to our travel group less than a month before our trip. Without a doubt, I will reach out to Nate when I'm ready to plan my next trip to Disney World!

We are so thankful we used Nate to plan not only our first Disney trip, but also our second. He made the process so easy for us, especially for us since it was our first time going. There was a lot to consider and many decisions to make, such as where to stay, when to go, and what to experience. Nate really helped us narrow down what we wanted to do overall, but he didn’t stop there. He provided detailed guides to help us navigate the airport and find our transportation to the resort, as well as a guide to explore the resorts and make sure we saw the best Christmas decorations. One of the many amazing things he also did was set up our dinner reservations for us. This saved us so much stress and allowed us to get some of our top choices. From the moment we landed in Orlando to the moment we headed back home, he made sure everything went smoothly. You truly can’t go wrong with going to him for your next trip.

Nathan has been an amazing trip planner for me! So helpful and responsive. I am a very type A person -- so someone who is even more on top of their game than me -- is so so appreciated! Nathan has booked 3 trips for me (1 completed 2 pending) and it was perfection. Thanks again!

Nate has helped us with our vacation planning for the last couple of years and we couldn't be happier with his service and expertise. We've used other travel agents in the past and none of them have done as phenomenal a job to make sure every detail is taken care of as he has. Switching to Nate was one of the best decisions we've ever made. He's always quick to answer questions and works tirelessly to make sure we get everything we want from our trips. Plus, he's just a genuinely great person who is wonderful to work with. Whether you're planning a trip to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, a Disney Cruise, or any other vacation, Nate is the guy you want putting it all together! Five stars across the board!
