Rain is the one thing you can’t plan away at a Florida holiday party. And when you’ve paid $169 or more for a Jollywood Nights ticket, a storm can feel like a big deal. Disney has now released the 2026 Jollywood Nights rain policy, so you know exactly what changes if the weather turns.
The short version: Jollywood Nights continues during most bad weather. Some outdoor shows may be cancelled, a few indoor shows add extra performances, and outdoor characters move inside. Disney’s guide does not mention refunds or rebooking for weather.
Much of the entertainment at Jollywood Nights happens outdoors, and rain has been a recurring problem at Disney’s ticketed events. Here’s the full breakdown of what changes, where characters move, and how to still have a great night if the skies open up.
Quick Summary
- Jollywood Nights 2026 continues during most inclement weather
- Glisten! and Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club may have some or all performances cancelled
- Disney Holidays in Hollywood adds midnight showings in bad weather
- The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along continues as scheduled
- Outdoor character meet and greets move indoors to spots like the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular and the Magic of Disney Animation
- Some rides close during thunder and lightning
- Disney’s guide does not mention refunds or rebooking for weather
What Happens to Entertainment When It Rains
Entertainment is where you’ll feel the biggest impact. Here’s what Disney says changes if rain, thunder, or lightning hits:
- Glisten! and Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club may have some or all performances cancelled
- Disney Holidays in Hollywood will add midnight showings
- Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along will continue as scheduled
- Sunset Seasons Greetings and Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! may still be offered
- The Magic of Disney Animation will add more event characters
So rain doesn’t mean the party shuts down. It means the entertainment shifts indoors, with a few extra shows to make up for the ones that get cancelled.
Glisten! Is the Show Most at Risk
If there’s one show to worry about, it’s Glisten! It’s performed on an outdoor skating rink in front of the Chinese Theater, which leaves it fully exposed to the weather.
If the forecast looks wet, try to catch an early performance. Afternoon and evening storms in Florida often roll through quickly, but you don’t want to save Glisten! for the last show of the night and miss it entirely. Check the 2026 Glisten! show times before you go so you can plan around them.
Where Characters Go in Bad Weather
This is the most useful part of the policy for families. Outdoor character meet and greets move indoors. Here’s where to find them.
Inside Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular
- Chip ‘n’ Dale from Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers
- Baloo or King Louie from TaleSpin
- Max as Powerline
- Phineas and Ferb
Inside the Magic of Disney Animation
- Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse
- Donald Duck and Daisy Duck
- Goofy and Pluto
Throughout Pixar Plaza
- Bing Bong, Joy, Sadness, Mike Wazowski, George Sanderson, and Needleman
Other Indoor Locations
- Inside ABC Commissary: José Carioca or Panchito from The Three Caballeros
- Near First Order Cargo: The Mandalorian and Grogu
- Near Toy Story Mania!: Bo Peep and Sarge
- Near Roundup Rodeo BBQ: Partysaurus Rex
- At The Edna Mode Experience: Edna Mode and Frozone
Characters Who Stay Put
These characters stay in their regular spots:
- Near Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run: Chewbacca
- At Celebrity Spotlight: Stitch dressed as Santa
- Near BaseLine Tap House: Scrooge McDuck
- At Walt Disney Presents: Duffy dressed as Santa
If character meets are a priority, screenshot this list before you go. It’ll save you a lot of wandering in the rain.
Rides, Food, and Shopping During Rain
Attractions
Some rides close during thunder and lightning. Check the attractions map in the My Disney Experience app to see what’s running and current wait times. A storm can actually work in your favor here. Indoor rides often get shorter lines when outdoor guests head for cover.
Food and Shopping
Select dining locations stay open during bad weather, so you can grab holiday snacks and drinks while you wait it out. Shops also stay open if you’d rather stay dry and browse. It’s a good time to work through the Jollywood Nights food and drink menu.
If you have a Jazzy Holidays at The Hollywood Brown Derby reservation, you’re in luck. That experience is indoors.
Tips for a Rainy Jollywood Night
Here’s how I’d handle a wet forecast:
- Bring a poncho or umbrella. Ponchos are easier in crowds, and park prices for rain gear are steep.
- See Glisten! early. Catch an early show in case later performances get cancelled.
- Watch the My Disney Experience app. It’s the best source for updated show times and character locations.
- Head indoors while the rain passes. The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along is a great option, since it runs as scheduled.
- Don’t forget your keepsake. No matter the weather, pick up your Jollywood Nights 2026 keepsake ornament near the park entrance on your way out.
Refunds and Remaining 2026 Dates
Disney’s guide does not mention refunds or rebooking for weather. Plan as if the event will go on rain or shine, because it almost certainly will.
If you’re still choosing a night, November 7 and November 14 are sold out. The remaining dates are:
- November: 16, 21, 23, 28
- December: 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 23
- January: 3, 5
Tickets range from $169 to $199 per person, plus tax. Park entry starts at 5:30 pm, and the event runs from 7:30 pm to 12:30 am.
The Bottom Line
The 2026 Jollywood Nights rain policy keeps the party going in most weather. Glisten! and the Tip Top Club show may be cancelled, Disney Holidays in Hollywood adds midnight showings, and outdoor characters move to indoor spots across Hollywood Studios.
Since there’s no mention of refunds, your best move is to plan for rain before it happens. Pack a poncho, see Glisten! early, and keep the character list handy. A little rain doesn’t have to ruin your night. It might even shorten a few lines.
